Gaza originally derives from the canaanite/Hebrew root for strong, gaza is one of the oldest cities in the world, it is located on the mediterranean coastal route between North Africa and the greener lands of the Levant.
This city which was once a prosperous trade center and a stop on the caravan route between Egypt and Syria, has been being invaded by Israeli tanks air and naval support since january 3 of 2009.
Inocent people has been literally killed in their homes and full hospitals are running out of medicals supplies, but of course you might wonder what the reason for all this killing is,
well there is actually several theories as to why this is happening one of them is that the press and tv could have made the people think that killing inocent and defenseless people was a good thing to do. But iraeli troops were finally completely taken out of Gaza today january 21, 2009 by the israeli government leaving more than 1300 people dead.
The truth is that no one really knows why this massacre occurred i'll leave to you to decide.
